What is SFI?
SFI is a basic language course for those whose mother tongue is not Swedish. This course will help students gain a good working knowledge of the Swedish language. You will also receive information about the Swedish society, working life and Swedish culture. All in order for you to continue your way to further studies or regular work. Anyone who is over 20 years of age, registered in Kävlinge and who does not understand Swedish well, is welcome to study SFI at Kävlinge Lärcentrum. You need to have a Swedish residence permit before you can be registered. Please contact the local tax office (Skatteverket) to gain registration. When can I start?
Courses begin on the first Monday of every month and you will study daytime from Monday to Friday every week. How much does it cost?
SFI is free of charge. You are not entitled to study allowance from CSN (Central Study Allowance Board) while studying SFI. Where do I apply?
